In this unit we learned some advantages and disadvantages of self assessment; we think that the decision of doing self assessment is not only of the teacher, because we have to know if our students are prepared to evaluate themselves honestly. We also review many techniques to carry out self assessment like surveys, questionnaires, and monitoring, rating scales, among others. We think that it could be useful to put in practice all the techniques in order to select the one that be better for the students based on their characteristics.

I think in self-assessment teachers has a very importanbt role because they are the ones who teach Ss how to self-assess themselves.
I agree with you, we have to try the techniques untill we find out which ones are best for our Ss.
