Informal assessment is a tool that we can use to collect information about our students’ performance in a normal classroom situation. The difference among an informal and formal assessment is that the informal is done without testing conditions and can be done over a large period of time. We can easily incorporate informal assessment into classroom routines and learning activities without interfering with instructional time.
